Quality Cut Design | Remodel Is in Mpls St.Paul Magazine!

We’re excited to announce that our work at Quality Cut Design | Remodel has been featured in the article “Chef’s Kiss” in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. The story highlights a stunning kitchen transformation for food-loving homeowners who wanted more than just a remodel—they wanted a space that inspires creativity, joy, and connection.

A Kitchen Built for Living and Loving to Cook

In a 1970s Minnetonka home, our clients—Emily and Keith—were ready to bring their vision to life. With Emily working remotely in a design role and Keith a passionate home baker, the daily demands of life quickly revealed one thing: their existing kitchen just didn’t support what they wanted to do.

Our team knocked down walls, opened up sight-lines, and designed custom details with purpose:

  • The turquoise Bluestar range became a joyful centerpiece—a color Emily says “has kind of followed me around through my life.”

  • Custom cabinetry designed for baking and entertaining: a proofing fridge, bread oven, and smart storage solutions.

  • Two distinct backsplashes by Mercury Mosaics, each adding texture, color and mid-century modern edge.

  • Mixed materials and finishes—warm walnut cabinets, brass accents, butcher-block counters for dough kneading, and layered lighting that turns utility into ambiance.

The result? A kitchen that doesn’t just function well—it feels like home, like personality, like the heart of this family’s everyday life.

Why This Matters

At Quality Cut Design | Remodel, we believe remodeling is more than just updating surfaces. It’s about creating spaces that reflect who you are, support what you do, and invite you to live more fully. In this project, we:

  • Helped our clients embrace color, pattern, and material in a way that reflects their personality.

  • Designed for real-life functionality (bread making, entertaining, family living) without compromising on beauty.

  • Integrated architectural and design details seamlessly—so the space feels cohesive, intentional, and elevated.

Thank You to Our Clients & Partners

A huge thanks to Emily and Keith for trusting us with this vision—your inspiration and partnership made it possible. And thank you to our trades, fabricators, photographers, and everyone on the QCDR team whose craftsmanship and dedication bring our projects to life.
