2025 Remodeler of the Year Awards

Quality Cut Design | Remodel Wins Two 2025 NARI-MN Remodeler of the Year Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that Quality Cut Design | Remodel has been honored with two 2025 NARI of Minnesota Remodeler of the Year (RotY™) Awards — the remodeling industry’s premier recognition for craftsmanship, innovation, and excellence.
This year, our team earned:

  • 🥇 Gold — Universal Design: Bath

  • 🥈 Silver — Residential Addition $250,000–$500,000

These awards celebrate the hard work, expertise, and heart that goes into every project we take on. We’re proud to stand among the top remodeling professionals in Minnesota and honored to be recognized for projects that deeply reflect our values: thoughtful design, meticulous craftsmanship, and client-centered solutions.

🏅 Gold Award — Universal Design Bath: “Aging in Place in Style”

St. Paul Minnesota Bathroom Universal Design in an addition

This project was part of a larger addition for a retired couple who wanted to ensure they could remain in their beloved home safely and comfortably for decades to come. Their goal was clear: create a bathroom that supported future accessibility needs — without looking clinical or institutional.

Key Features

  • Curbless shower with a fold-down bench, grab bars, and a linear drain

  • 36" pocket door and wide clearances for easy mobility

  • Custom vanity with a removable center panel designed for future wheelchair access

  • Cabinetry by the toilet designed to be fully removable if additional support is needed

  • Warm, modern aesthetics featuring bold tile, natural light, layered lighting, and a spa-like feel

  • Innovative elements, including hydronic radiant heat, Warmboard panel technology, automated blinds, a lighted shaving mirror, heated towel bar, and more

One unexpected twist: during construction, the homeowner underwent foot surgery — which immediately validated every universal design choice. The space now provides both beauty and peace of mind.

🥈 Silver Award — Aging in Place Addition (Residential Addition $250,000–$500,000)

This thoughtful addition transformed the homeowners’ ability to remain in their home long-term. The existing house lacked a main-floor bedroom and accessible bathroom, and the laundry was located in the basement. We solved all three challenges while enhancing the outdoor living experience.

What We Created

  • A main-floor primary suite with vaulted cedar ceilings

  • A fully accessible bathroom designed to support future mobility needs

  • A walk-in closet connected to a main-floor laundry

  • An unfinished basement under the addition for mechanicals, storage, and a wine room

  • A beautifully integrated deck and hot tub area, using structural elements from a pavilion we built years earlier

  • Seamless architectural integration through roofline design, window placement, natural light, and matched materials

Craftsmanship & Innovation Highlights

  • Custom cabinetry throughout

  • Perfectly pitched curbless shower floor with linear drain

  • Radiant in-floor heat using Warmboard panels

  • Automated blinds for ease and privacy

  • A dedicated cat lobby with ventilation and a self-cleaning litter box (one of our favorite custom details!)

Every detail was executed with precision, ensuring the new spaces feel like they’ve always belonged to the home.

Gratitude to Our Clients, Partners, and Team

We’re deeply grateful to the homeowners who trust us with their vision and invite us into their homes. Thank you as well to our trade partners, craftspeople, and collaborators who help bring each project to life.

And of course — thank you to NARI of Minnesota for recognizing our work and for elevating excellence in the remodeling industry.

Here’s to another year of creating beautiful, functional spaces that help people live well at every stage of life.
